Consistent with Pepsi’s “Live For Now” global campaign which is all about amplifying the excitement of now, Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines Inc. (PCPPI) has launched the Pepsi “Hataw Araw Araw Car-A-Day Giveaway” promo that will give away one brand new Mitsubishi car everyday for 45 days.
The promo features PCPPI’s full range of carbonated soft drinks -- Pepsi, Dew, 7Up, Mug and Mirinda. A purchase of any of these brands will qualify one to join the promo.
“Winning is as simple as it gets,” Marketing Manager for Carbonated Soft Drinks Angel Motomal said, adding that participants need only to text the eight-digit alphanumeric code written under the crown of the participating Pepsi products they bought.
Each bottle cap or crown is printed with a unique 8 alphanumeric code which the subscriber should text to 2929. A code can be sent only once, using Globe Telecom, TM, Smart, TNT and Sun Cellular.
Participants must be 13 years old and above.
Apart from the 45 Mitsubishi Mirage cars, PCPPI will also give away 90 Canon D20 cameras, 90 Samsung S3 cellular phones, 90 iPad Minis, 120 Max’s Restaurant gift certificates worth P1,500 each, 120 Pizza Hut gift certificates also worth P1,500 each, P15-load for 135,000 cell phone users, and 135,000 16 oz Slurpees.
“We are quite certain that Hataw will lend added dimension to the student’s summer break as they quench their thirst while at the same time, get the once-in-a lifetime chance to win a brand new car,” PCPPI President Partho Chakrabarti said.
“Hataw” which hews close to Pepsi’s “Live For Now” global promo, is seen to lend more cutting edge to PCPPI’s aggressive marketing and sales offensive across the domestic market.
It was designed to satisfy the Filipino consumers’ “penchant to try something different and more exciting; it’s for those who want to ‘Live for Now’,” Chakrabarti stressed.
