Sports drink Gatorade, distributed locally by Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines Inc. (PCPPI), has been named the official sports drink of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
Paving the way for an intensive development of the popular game among the youth, the PBA-Gatorade partnership kicked off last April with the Gatorade Batang PBA Basketball League, followed by the Batang PBA Camps to be held at the Meralco Bolts gym from May to June this year.
These Camps intend to kickstart a grassroots movement that will spark the love of basketball amongst a new generation of Filipino kids. With Gatorade as a strong partner, PBA hopes to roll-out this program nationally.
