The inauguration of the new Learning & Development Center behind PCPPI’s Head Office & Plant in Muntinlupa City was held last September 15, 2011. Well-attended by PCPPI’s employees and ManCom, its leaders from Lotte and PepsiCo and the Muntinlupa City Vice Mayor Temmy Simundac, the event marked another milestone for the company.
PCPPI prides itself to be a company that serves not only its customers but also its employees. The Learning & Development Center is home to Pepsi University, PCPPI’s support system for the growth and skill-building of its employees. Pepsi University, or PU, was launched on March 25, 2005 to enhance the capabilities of its employees and instill company values and culture. The L&D Center provides a proper venue for the objectives of PU with new facilities and equipments. The center also houses the team of the Southern Tagalog Regional Office, one of PCPPI’s business units.
Mr. Dessie B. Dayo, PCPPI’s PU Administrator, said that with this new building they are able to create more training opportunities, learning sessions and even regular classes for the employees which will help them acquire the relevant competencies to be effective partners of the company.
“As we join the team of Pepsi University in celebrating this new facility,” said PCPPI President Partha Chakrabarti at the inauguration, “I urge all of us to renew our pledge to continue to build the learning culture in PCPPI.”
